{"id":481,"date":"2020-09-01T12:06:20","date_gmt":"2020-09-01T12:06:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/theamericanracercup.com\/?p=481"},"modified":"2020-09-01T12:06:20","modified_gmt":"2020-09-01T12:06:20","slug":"american-racer-announces-american-racer-cup-2020-program-payouts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theamericanracercup.com\/?p=481","title":{"rendered":"American Racer Announces American Racer Cup 2020 Program Payouts"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>INDIANA, PA \u2013<\/strong> In a most unusual season hampered by COVID-19 regulations,\nAmerican Racer is once again stepping up for its competitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After\nextensive evaluation and discussion with participating facilities, there <em>will be<\/em> an American Racer Cup presented\nby Sunoco Race Fuels payout for 2020. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite\nthe season not launching until mid-June and a number of facilities not opening\nat all or operating on limited schedules, series backers American Racer, Lias\nTire Company (Indiana, Pa.), Sunoco Face Fuels and Insinger Performance\n(Dushore, Pa.) will offer a $21,375 total cash payout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis has\nbeen a season unlike any other we have seen before,\u201d Lias Tire representative\nDustin Leverknight said. \u201cWe got an extremely late start with most Northeast\ntracks not turning a lap until June and several running part-time schedules\nwith fans not permitted in New York State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe\nwanted to do the right thing and reward the drivers and tracks that did run\nthis season. Thanks to our partners at Sunoco Race Fuels and Insinger\nPerformance, we were able to put together a program.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\ntop-15 Modified racers will share in $18,000 worth of point money, while\nSportsman competitors will receive $3,375.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The final\npoints will be calculated off a driver\u2019s best six finishes, rather than the 10\nutilized during a \u2018normal\u2019 season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At any\nfacility completing six or more events, every registered driver will receive a\ntire certificate in the mail.&nbsp; Modified\ndrivers will receive a certificate for a free tire. Sportsman competitors will\nreceive certificates for $85 off the purchase of a tire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Drivers\nregistering for speedways that have completed less than six events will receive\na credit on their American Racer Cup entry for the 2021 season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Points\nand 2020 finishes from all tracks are being audited.
